Ascott's first serviced residence in Bahrain officially opened its doors last month. The 118-unit Somerset Al Fateh is located on the coast of Al Fateh, an exclusive residential area offering scenic views of Manama. It overlooks the Arabian Sea, and is just a few minutes' drive from the central business district, foreign embassies and Bahrain Financial Harbour.

Besides Somerset Al Fateh, Ascott also manages the 84-unit Somerset Jadaf in Dubai, which opened in July 2006. Ascott will open its third property in the Gulf region - the 200-unit Somerset West Bay in Doha - by early 2008.
