Winner of Ascott's 25th Anniversary Third Monthly Draw

Congratulations to Mr Kent Byers, the winner of Ascott's 25th Anniversary lucky draw for the month of June. Mr Byers stayed at Citadines Singapore Mount Sophia, qualifying him for the draw. The monthly lucky draw is one of Ascott's initiatives launched in April 2009 to celebrate its 25th Anniversary with its customers. Winners of Ascott's 25th Anniversary monthly draws each receive a complimentary 3-night stay in a one-bedroom or studio apartment at any Ascott serviced residence worldwide. The grand winner will walk away with a complimentary 3-nights' stay every year at any Ascott serviced residence for the next 25 years! This lucky draw is open to all guests staying at any Ascott property this year until end December 2009.

Ascott has raised funds to build a new school dormitory for a group of hill tribe children in the Wiengkaen district of Chiang Rai. With the new facility, students of the Po Wittaya School no longer need to walk for hours from their homes in the remote villages to their school and can dedicate more time for their education. The Po Wittaya School has up to 300 students from kindergarten to junior high level and most of them come from poor families, living in villages about 10-20 kilometres away from school.

Around 550,000 Baht (about 23,000 SGD) were raised for the dormitory through donations from Ascott's guests and staff, and a top-up from the CapitaLand Hope Foundation. The charity drive is one of Ascott's over 25 community initiatives worldwide as Ascott marks 25 successful years as the top international serviced residence owner-operator.
